Free senior-living placement

Your next home.
The care to support it.

Work with a housing and care guide as your needs change. We help you understand the options, prepare better questions, and connect the care decision with the rest of the move.

Who pays for our guidance?

Your family pays
no placement fee.

Our senior-living placement guidance is free to families. Participating care providers pay us a placement referral fee when you move into their community.

That means you can work with a guide through the placement decision without paying us a placement consulting fee.

The no-cost service covers placement guidance. Housing and care charges, real estate commissions, and third-party services are separate.

A familiar idea, a broader role

The guidance you expect.
For a different housing decision.

You might turn to a REALTOR® when entering the housing market. Later, finding the next home can also involve help with daily living, memory support, a care budget, and decisions about the family home.

Our role brings those questions into the same conversation. We help you understand the housing and care options, then organize the practical steps around the choice.

How the payment model works

When a seller agrees to cover a buyer’s agent’s compensation, that professional’s payment comes from another party in the transaction. Our placement model follows a similar idea: participating care providers pay our placement referral fee.

The result for your family is straightforward: no fee from us for senior-living placement guidance.

Real estate compensation is negotiated under separate agreements. The placement fee arrangement does not cover the provider’s housing or care charges.

What the guidance looks like

From a first question
to a considered decision.

Start with the person’s wishes, the care team’s guidance, the location, and the timing. The plan grows from there.

01 /

Understand the situation.

Talk through what is changing, who is involved, and what matters in the next home. Identify the questions that need a care professional’s input.

02 /

Compare relevant options.

Review participating providers with the family’s priorities in view. Discuss setting, location, services, costs, and questions about availability.

03 /

Prepare the introduction.

Organize questions for conversations and visits. Review the provider relationship and fee arrangement, and obtain permission before sharing placement information.

04 /

Connect the transition.

Bring the chosen care setting, the home, belongings, and moving timeline into a practical plan with the appropriate professionals.

Guidance as needs change

A personal path through the care options.

A move may be from home into senior living, or between care settings. The appropriate level of care is determined with the older adult, family, and qualified care professionals.

Oregon also has residential care and adult foster home settings. Care needs can change; these options do not represent a required sequence.

Placement questions

Clear answers before you begin.

Is placement guidance really free?

Yes. Our senior-living placement guidance is free to families. Participating care providers pay us a placement referral fee when you move into their community. You pay no placement guidance fee to us.

What costs are separate?

You are responsible for the care provider’s housing, care, and move-in charges under your agreement with them. Real estate commissions, movers, estate-sale services, cleanout work, and other third-party services have their own agreements and charges.

Does the care provider’s referral fee matter to my decision?

It is a business relationship you should understand. We discuss the participating provider’s relationship with us and the placement fee arrangement as you consider options. You can ask about provider relationships, the scope of the search, and any community you are considering.

Do I need to sell a home before reaching out?

No. You can begin with the housing and care question. If a home sale becomes part of the transition, we discuss that work separately and align the timing with the family’s plan.

Can you help if my loved one already lives in a care community?

Yes. A move to a different setting can raise new questions about care, costs, belongings, and timing. Start with what has changed and the care team’s guidance about current needs.

Who chooses the community?

The older adult and the people authorized to help make the decision choose the setting, with guidance from the care team and providers. Our role is to explain options and help connect the practical steps.
